2008 South America Roll Call

2008 South America Road Call

The 2008 South America Ski Season is now just a few short weeks away. The official opening of most of the SA resorts is June 14th. So who is going where and doing what? My plans as of now are to arrive in BA by mid-June and then head over to LL for the big kick off.
Lets hear what you all are doing.

    I am here in Bariloche, anxiously awaiting the winter. Plans call for a trip to LL (if wind forecast is favorable), possibly to Ushuia, some time in La Hoya, and exploring some new b/c lines around this part of the lakes region.

    I am flying into Santiago, Chile on the 4th of July. The plan is to spend a week with the wife and kids at Portillo.

    I have never been to Portillo or South America for that matter so any advice or tips on good ski would be a great help.

    I just can’t wait!

    Cross my fingers, will be heading to Argentina in July for 3 weeks of skiing. I don’t know where yet so if you guys have any input let me know.

    Hi,

    I have been living in BA for just about a year now and would love to make it up skiing this winter. I was thinking about doing a week in Las Lenas sometime in August.

    Hey!

    Great info on your site. I’m heading to BA on June 24th for a few weeks and was thinking about heading out for some skiiing. Grew up skiing the Sierra Nevada’s and would be oh so stoked to ski South America.

    I’ve just started my info search on getting up to the snow, but if anyone has any good info they can share about flights, housing… email me.

    Let the fun begin!

    Hi guys!
    I´m from Argentina, and i´m and a friends group are going to las leñas in jun 20th. We have been there last season and was great.
    the snow and forecast, people, etc.
    But the best site is Cerro Catedral in Bariloche, it’s awesome!!
    In Las Leñas you have a lot of hotels and departments to rent, you can see itin http://www.laslenas.com.ar!!!
