The first storm of the South American ski season has dumped 8 FEET of snow on a very dry Andes Mountain Range. Today was going to be the official kickoff for many of the Chilean and Argentina resorts but with all the snow the roads leading to the resorts will remain closed for another day or so as they work on snow removal. After a week of being posted up in a leaky Santiago hostel I am more then ready to head up into the mountains and make my first turns of the summer.
