La Parva, Chile - Canadian Alpine Ski Team racer Sherry Lawrence (Calgary, AB) captured first place in a South American Cup downhill race Wednesday in La Parva, Chile, while team-mates Britt Janyk (Whistler, BC) and Emily Brydon (Fernie, BC) finished 3rd and 4th, respectively.
“The conditions were excellent today,” Heinzpeter Platter, Head coach of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team Women’s Speed team, commented after the race. “The course was very hard and icy. There are two nice jumps of 30-40 feet which challenged the ski racers. Full Story HERE
