Unofficial Andes

One very cool thing about Las Lenas is the fact that it is a true skiing meca that provides a “summer” home for some of the top skiers and riders from around the world. So far this season, about four days, I have lived with or skied with two Finns, a French Speed Rider, a Norwegian and three Swedes. All of which are kickass skiers.

During the North America ski season I live in Squaw Valley, CA. Squaw is often referred to as Squawllywood because of all the superduper ski stars who call it home. This being the case I am use to seeing and skiing with some really talented skiers. However, the skiers and riders who make their way to LL during the months of July, August and September are some core mother #$%^. Anyone who is willing to give up summer sun to chase snow at the bottom of the world is deeply committed to this sport we all love and is all right by me.
